So What to Eat?

Everyone is now familiar with the arguments over Low carb (Atkins, South Beach, Protein Power, Paleo) vs. low fat/high carb (Ornish, Vegan, China Study, many others). Both sides present what seems to be solid research that shows theirs is the best approach.

They both can’t be right, can they? This is one of the most perplexing areas to investigate. Reading Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes sheds a lot of light on the subject. The China Study also claims a huge body of research behind, but the two reach opposite conclusions.

There are only three things that can be eaten - protein, carbs and fat. Fat is the one that fills you up and doesn't make you fat.
